Carvacrol and Thymol
Carvacrol and Thymol are ingredients in various herbal essential oils. They are also important components of the oregano oil. Chemically speaking, these are terpenoid natural substances.
Thymol and Carvacrol also have antibacterial properties as pure substances. However, this effect is very limited compared to the natural oregano oil.
The interaction of the more than 30 substances of the natural Oreganoöls achieves far better fungicides and bactericidal results.
Carvacrol and Thymol can also be made synthetically.
However, in the use of synthetic derivatives in animal nutrition there is a risk of toxicity and immunodeficiency.
